NWS Annual Tornado Drill

The National Weather Service (NWS) will conduct its annual Tornado Drill on this coming Wednesday morning, February 6th, beginning about 0900.

The Georgia D-STAR net will convene at about that time on Reflector 30C. All of the Georgia D-STAR operated repeaters will be linked to 30C. Other D-STAR repeaters in the state are requested to also be linked to 30C for this net.

The drill will also be conducted on VHF (2m FM) utilizing the 146.805+ offset 100hz tone which will be linked to the Georgia Weather net and the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Peachtree City, GA.

The HF net will be conducted on 3.975 SSB.

We would like to see how many check ins we can have in Georgia to demonstrate the reach and numbers for D-STAR. Please check into the net if you can.
